My father passed away in February of this year.  He was an avid gardener also, so I wanted to plant a bed in his memory.  From that idea, came my first Rose bed.   Although it includes many other plants, (listed and linked at left) the feature is 4 yellow roses, they are Jackson and Perkins Floribunda roses "Sunsprite". 

I must admit, I am in love with the yellow/purple color scheme, so I planned this bed along those lines.

This is a picture of the shed before we planted the rose bed next to it.  It was just begging for a garden, wasn't it?

This is the bed today (spring 1999).  I think it really softens the edges of the storage building.

 
And here is the bed this spring, 2000.  It has matured some.
