Rosa 'Sunsprite'

      Rosa Sunsprite
Sunsprite

Sunsprite belongs to the modern rose group of Floribundas, everblooming, free branching shrub roses of upright or bushy habit, usually with prickly stems, and glossy, dark green leaves.  The single to fully double, sometimes scented flowers are usually in clusters of 3 to 25, rarely solitary, and borne continuously from summer to fall on shoots from second-year wood and on new wood.  Best used in a border or as hedges.  Roses may be grown in all but tropical regions, but cold tolerance varies widely within the genus.  In the colder parts of their range, they require specific planting depths and winter protection regimes.  They tolerate a wide range of conditions, but usually prefer an open site in full sun.  They thrive on moderately fertile, humus-rich, moist but well drained soil.  Roses are susceptible and prone to several insects and diseases.  This can be minimized by a regular spraying program of a insecticide/miticide/fungicide combination solution such as "Orthenex", every 10 days to 2 weeks.
