Leather Fern or Leatherleaf Fern

Rumohra Adiantiformis, of Leather Fern, is a creeping, stoutly rhizomatous, epiphytic fern with evergreen leaves to 24 inches long.  Where not hardy, this fern can be grown in a warm greenhouse.  Where hardy it can be grown epiphytically, or in a damp, shady border.  The fronds are popular for flower arrangements.  It is rated hardy to 50°, but here in zone 8b we have had success growing it outside.
