I wanted to plant something bright and cheery on each side of our driveway to greet guest.  We had to construct some type of planters, though, in order to hold soil in that area.  We used landscape timbers and drilled holes through them to drive stakes in and hold them.

I filled these planters up with Stella d'Oro Hemerocallis.  They will eventually fill the planters up, and have an extended bloom time.
